Fire-Trol columns have provided the construction industry with a revolutionary type of fireproofing, which has been used in thousands of projects throughout the United States. The Fire-Trol column is a prefabricated, fireproofed unit consisting of a load-bearing steel column encased in a special proprietary insulating material which is permanently protected by an outer non-load-bearing steel shell. Fire-Trol columns are rated and labeled by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. for fire retardant classifications of 2, 3 and 4 hours. Columns are completely shop fabricated and shipped to the job site ready to erect.
