Turner Construction Company, incorporated in the State of New York, was established in 1902 by Henry C. Turner. Turner is currently under the direction of Peter J. Davoren, President and CEO, with a staff of 5,800 personnel. The firm has shown remarkable growth over the past 105 years. From the start, Turner exerted considerable influence on the construction industry by pioneering the practical use of what was then the newly developed reinforced concrete design concept. Turner demonstrated the capabilities of this construction method by building the station stairs for the New York City Subway system in 1904 and the Robert Gair Building in New York in 1905, which was the largest reinforced concrete building in the United States at the time. Turner builds some of the most challenging projects in New York City and around the World. Turner operates out of 46 offices nationwide and abroad in 19 countries.
