The Atlantic City Special Improvement District (ACSID) is a non-profit corporation formed by Atlantic City business people in early 1992 to improve the business environment in the city. Over the last 17 years, the ACSID has provided exceptional Landscaping, Environmental, Ambassadorial/Light Security, Economic Development, Special Event and Promotional services throughout the City. The ACSID’s dedicated employees consistently volunteer their time and experience to local community and civic organizations, such as the Salvation Army, Rotary, Kiwanis, MBCA, ACBCA, Main Street Atlantic City, Art Dorrington Ice Hockey Foundation, Covenant House, South Jersey AIDS Alliance, Boys and Girls Club, PAL and many others. The Special Improvement District includes businesses within an area bounded by Boardwalk from Albany Avenue to Connecticut Avenue), Pacific Avenue (from Albany Avenue to Connecticut Avenue), Atlantic Avenue (from Albany Avenue to Maine Avenue), Arctic Avenue (from Ohio Avenue to Tennessee Avenue), and Ventnor Avenue (from Kingston Avenue to Albany Avenue). The boundaries of the district were set by City Council Ordinances. The Special Improvement District is independent of city government, but works cooperatively with city agencies.
