COMPANY PROFILE
The Delaware Contractors Association (DCA) is a non-profit organization designed to bring strength and unity to the Delaware construction industry. The construction industry is diverse and we encourage diversity in our membership. The Association was formed in August of 1969 with the merger of two major and long established construction trade associations in the State—Associated General Contractors of Delaware (1943) and Allied Construction Industries of Delaware (1932). Members range from large firms to those just getting started. But all share the same concerns and are affected by what happens in the industry. DCA keeps it members informed of important industry concerns and legislative decisions. Informational bulletins are periodically published, either via the DCA NEWS, e-DCA.org or special memoranda, dealing with activities in the General Assembly and other levels of federal, state, county and local government. With government becoming more and more a part of contractors’ lives, on private as well as public jobs, DCA maintains a strong liaison with appropriate regulatory agencies. Numerous management seminars, workshops, visual aids and manuals are regularly presented to benefit DCA members and their employees. The Plans Room is available to all members seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Plans and specs for all current public works and many private projects are maintained there on a timely basis. DCA is designed to bring strength and unity to the construction industry in Delaware. At the same time, we hold a commitment to excellence. Our full service Staff is prepared to respond quickly and effectively to the needs of our members and industry.
