This project started out with unavoidable delays associated with the site preparation that Office Depot and Gerard were not responsible for. Once this site was turned over for the building to start, Gerards’ building superintendent, (Sal Nacinovich) made an immediate positive impact on the site. In the first days on the project, Mr. Nacinovich noted numerous site layouts that were wrong and also alerted all parties that a retaining wall that was being installed by a separate contractor was staked out in the wrong location. This alone saved uncounted time and lost monies for all involved.
This particular project also presented another new twist for Office Depot that Gerard was involved with. Typically Office Depot fixtures their buildings with their own employees in a two week time frame. Due to our schedule we only had one week to complete the fixturing. Gerard Construction provided an extremely knowledgeable superintendent (Sal Taddeo) to run a crew of fixturing carpenters. The fixturing was substantially completed in five working days. Quite a feat!
In summation, Gerard and their crews have completed a project for Office Depot in a time frame that at times appeared impossible (original schedule was 110 days, final schedule ended up at 74 days from start of footings to fixturing). This was also done without allowing quality to suffer. Thanks for a job well done.

This was my first project with Gerard Construction Corp. and they have been approved as a qualified contractor for future Best Buy projects.

The recent construction project we embarked upon at 550 Mamaroneck Avenue in Harrison, New York, was the first such project which did not take existing medical real estate space and make cosmetic modifications. Rather, this new space was constructed with our needs in mind and those contractors who were invited to bid were charged with three directives:
(1) Meet our exacting specifications in terms of state compliance requirements. (2) Create this space within a very tight time frame. (3) Deliver both of the above at the lowest possible cost to the Scarsdale Medical Group.
I can unequivocally state that Jerry and his team not only met, but exceeded, all three criteria set forth above, without compromise, compliant, or cost overruns. Not surprisingly, the original architectural plan given to Jerry was modified on several occasions, in minor and major ways. In every instance, his staff responded immediately and delivered exactly what was requested.
Perhaps the single greatest endorsement I can give Jerry and Gerard Construction was based upon the comments I heard from so many at the grand opening of our new site on week ago today. The comments I was so pleased to hear that day centered on how amazing our new facility looked and, most significantly, the comment that our new site “must have cost a fortune.” As Executive Director of the Scarsdale Medical Group, I can assure everyone that it didn’t come close to costing a fortune, but it certainly looks that way.
